Happy Friday!
Based on some of the work I’ve been doing lately, this quote keeps coming to my mind.
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
– Albert Einstein
Are we caught in the trap of similar thinking that created our problems or issues in the first place? What are we doing to bring other perspectives into the discussion? What am I doing to increase my knowledge or understanding so I’m at a different level than when I first approached the problem? I heard a manager tell her team recently, if we aren’t willing to change, we become like a stagnant pond, which is a breeding pond for disease.
If you or a team member are stuck, ask yourself what you are doing to change your thinking or your behavior to get a different perspective and resolution. What have I not thought of? What am I missing? What do I need to do differently?
If you’d like a facilitator to help you or your team to get answers to these question, please feel welcome to call on me.
